What being a mentee looks like

Monthly matching

Every month, we'll check in and ask if you'd like to be matched. Say yes, and we'll pair you with a mentor based on your goals, interests, and background. You'll spend the month working toward one goal together — guided by Opal every step of the way.

Priority Access to Gem programs & Spark Sessions

When Opal hosts a Spark Session or GEM Program, community mentees hear about it first. And if your profile is a strong fit for what a company partner is looking for, we may reach out to you directly.

What to expect after you apply

  1. You'll receive an invite to our Slack community

  2. At the start of each month, we'll check in to see if you'd like to be matched

  3. If you opt in, we'll pair you with a mentor and share everything you need to get started

  4. At the end of the month, we'll collect feedback and ask if you'd like to go again
